Education: BS Chemistry, MBA, Le Moyne College
Experience: Elena started her career in the laboratory where she performed in many roles like operations, business development, and general management. Today, she continues to motivate and inspire her colleagues as a leader since 2004. As Elena says, she is a "leader with a wealth of experience, surrounded by amazing people."
Message from Elena: My motto is "everything in moderation," which always leads to a good balance. Although my husband would say I'm a workaholic, I don't let work get in the way of family time on weekends on cooking a big Sunday dinner. I am energized by running, spin, and perform interval training to balance out the everyday stresses of life, and of course, a little dose of red wine never hurts! My biggest flaw is I'm entirely too impatient!
Education: BS Biology & Chemistry, Clarkson University
Experience: Lisa started her career at the lab bench with various pharma companies before moving into medical devices and eventually Central Labs, where she has happily spent the last 15 years of her career.
Message from Lisa: I live in Rochester, NY with my husband, two children, and two dogs. I have been fortunate throughout my career to have incredible mentors, most of which have been and continue to be amazing women. I hope that not only on International Women's Day, but every day, that we all take steps to find the balance in our workplace, in our community and in our world.
Education: Background in Clinical Chemistry
Experience: Ingrid has been with the company for 20 years, where she started in the clinical laboratory. Over the years, she has held many positions such as manager, project management, manager of client services, and leading the Operational Excellence team.
Message from Ingrid: As a woman, I am proud to have achieved all that I have by working for a great organization like Eurofins, together with wonderful colleagues. By creating the right work/life balance, I am still able to make time for my 15-year old daughter who shows me her full support and understanding of my busy schedule. By establishing the right balance, I am able to perform better in my work and enjoy my personal life to its fullest.
Education: Amber comes to Eurofins with a wealth of laboratory and healthcare education where she obtained both her Bachelor's Degree at Monash University and Master's Degree at The National University of Singapore.
Experience: Laboratory and Healthcare industry
Message from Amber: I find it exciting and thrilling to be a woman today. Time has changed and women nowadays are given much more opportunities and are able to build up their own career. Let us all strive to be the role models for the younger generation of females.
Education: Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences
Experience: Dr. Lisa Knode has been with the Eurofins family for 3 years and has served as the Laboratory Manager for Central Laboratory, Lancaster for 2.5 years and counting!
Message from Lisa: I come from a research background where my graduate work used biochemical, molecular, and immunological techniques to understand the B-cell immune response in Lupus. My post-doctoral experience at the NIH then looked at the B-cell response as we age. Now, as the laboratory manager at Eurofins Central Laboratory, I am able to liaise between the sponsors designing the clinical trials and the laboratory performing the requested testing. When not working in the laboratory, I enjoy being outside gardening, hiking, and exploring the world by traveling.
Education: Clinical Laboratory Testing
Experience: After her studies, Jane worked in the #1 People Hospital in Yang Zhou city as a Laboratory Supervisor for more than 10 years and published about 7 articles of laboratory testing in medical journals.
Message from Jane: I joined Eurofins Central Laboratory in 2007 where I started out as a Laboratory Manager with a main focus on laboratory quality. I then became the Site Leader in 2013 where I am responsible for the daily operations of the facility in China, such as operations, quality control, and assisting with the global sales team to further develop the intra-China client base. What I love most about my current position is that I am able to communicate with clients and learn more about the Chinese market.
